Our rules are simple:

1. MakeupTalk was created to help people that enjoy beauty products, makeup, makeup faces of the day, and skin care, hair care, bath and body, fun polls, fitness, product reviews, and beauty swaps.
2. Be polite, respect other members. Blatant mean posts will result in banning of user/ip address.
3. Choose the right forum for your post.
4. No asking for "Market Research" of your products in threads/posts
5. Users are not allowed to have multiple accounts under the same IP address. Doing so, could result in banning of the IP address/usernames. If you wish to change your username, simply contact an Administrator or a Jr. Admin rather than starting a second account.
6. No blatant threads/posts/reviews/swaps directing users to your site for any reason (this includes blogs).
7. No promoting of your products/services in threads/posts/reviews(this included soliciting your business)
8. No discussions of your products/services in threads/posts/reviews.
9. No Private Messaging promoting of your products/services to users
10. Do NOT post messages like this "Please visit the website in signature (read below)", or "I am giving away samples, please visit my website here".
11. Do NOT conduct product reviews/swaps asking users to visit your website or blatantly spamming for the promotion of your site
12. No links to referral types of systems (IE: free Ipods, free trips/items etc)
13. Discussions mentioning "SAMPLES" for your private site is prohibited on the board, as we believe that this is free advertising. (This does not apply to reference of samples by eBay sellers or known retailers who are believed NOT to be MuT members).

15. Signature Rules:
    • Five(5) text lines max
    • One(1) image allowed (cannot be self promoting Images promoting your website(s) or products)
    • Font cannot be larger than size 2 (this is size 2)
    • Two (2) links max
    • If you are trying to promote your website or company, you are allowed only one(1) hyperlink, font size 1(this is size 1) only in your signature and not throughout your posts/threads.
    • No signatures like this "Please visit the website in signature (read below)", or "I am giving away samples, please visit my website in my signature" or "Click here for more information", plainly put, No blatant LINKS in our signature directing users to your website for any reason
    • No referral links
    • No telephone numbers, No email addresses
    • No Unauthorized Advertising of any form or fashion...
16. Items Up For Sale(For Sale Forum):
    • If you are putting some items up for sale, it will need a price listed along with your items. If there is no price is listed, rules are being violated because it seems that you are not being upfront about your items and your prices. There should at least be a price mentioned regarding the item, and you may choose to add that you are willing to negotiate prices with the buyer.
    • No email addresses asking users to contact you.  Use the PM system
    • No email addresses "to be invoiced at" are not allowed
17. Political discussions: Discussions regarding religion or politics not allowed on MakeupTalk as they it leads to members attacking other members and people just bashing other religions/parties.
18. General Forum Posting Rules:
    • - viewing threads content = user must register
    • - creating new threads = 30 required(forsale forum only)
    • - replying to threads = 30 posts required(forsale forum only)
    • - viewing attachments = 10 standard posts required
    • - sending private messages = 50 standard posts required
    • - sending e-mails = 20 standard posts required
    • - posting links to outside sites = 20 standard posts required
    • - video viewing access = 800 standard posts required (see this)
19. If you are participating in the SEX Talk forum located here, then you must abide by the Sex Talk Forum Rules and Regulations located in this thread here.
20. Member Marketplace
    • Once subscribed to the member market place, MakeupTalk.com reserves the right to have "No refund" policy.  No cash refund shall be made for any circumstances whatsoever.
    • Many rules for the member marketplace supersede rules above.  Each forum will have it's own set of rule that users will need to abide by.

24. MySpace Links: Any reference to MySpace in which the profile is clearly for a business and seen as spammed advertising will not be tolerated. This is violation of the aforementioned rules, and could result in banning of the IP address/usernames
